Originally born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Steve moved to London in the mid 1980’s and has lived there since.
Having trained as a tax specialist in Newcastle, he worked within major accountancy firms in London dealing with complex UK and International tax clients as well as specialist forensic financial cases for seven years.
Moving into investment banking, Steve worked in the derivatives market trading in commodity futures, options and derivatives.
Steve began his career in property in 1999, when engaged by Angel Property, a major London based mixed use development company to work on the landmark jam factory development. He then went on to complete a series of successful developments including schemes as diverse as new build flats in Balham and the conversion of a Grade II Listed warehouse in Devon.
In 2004, Steve moved to Carlyle Skelton Developments ltd becoming Senior Development Manager, being instrumental in the acquisition and development of commercial and hotel developments in central London.
Following the completion of these developments, Steve set up Capital Holdings, a vehicle for development of smaller mixed use schemes as well as larger luxury houses in Surrey and South West London.
Steve joined Urbanista in 2013.
